DRAWING NOTES:

TIME OF DAY:
Evening.

LIGHTING NOTES:
The oil lamp above the heads of the figures lights the scene, along with other unseen lamps.

CHARACTERS PRESENT:
From left to right: Matthew/Levi, then Andrew (Simon/Peter’s brother) behind, with Thaddeus/Judas, son of James in front, then Simon/Peter, Jesus the Christ, Judas Iscariot is standing, with Simon the zealot at the table, on the right.
The rest of the disciples are outside the scene.

RESEARCH/ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This scene is reminiscent of an earlier scene I drew from Matthew’s gospel, chapter 26, called The Lord’s Supper – scene 05 – Bread. I have used the same colours in this scene. The chief difference being that Jesus is standing up, & looking up towards heaven as he breaks the bread & gives thanks for it, before sharing it with his disciples.
