Matthew 25:10-13 (NLT)
10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. 11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, `Sir, open the door for us!’ 12 But he called back, `I don’t know you!’
13 “So stay awake and be prepared, because you do not know the day or hour of my return.
TIME OF DAY:
Just after midnight.
Cool moonlight illuminates this dark scene from above. Some warm light is coming from the inside the building, formed into a cross shape.
The 5 foolish virgins.
This scene shows the 5 foolish bridesmaids (or virgins), outside the locked door. Three of them are hammering on the door, whilst the other two have turned away in tears.
Notice the light from inside the building is forming the shape of the cross in the light, above the door archway.
Here is the scene without the figures in the foreground.
