DRAWING NOTES:

TIME OF DAY:
Scene 02 – Wild living
Indeterminate – day time

LIGHTING NOTES:
Scene 02 – Wild living
Indeterminate – diffused sunlight from above
The sky is depicted here as yellow as a foreshadow of the impending “severe famine” mentioned in the story.

CHARACTERS PRESENT:
Scene 02 – Wild living
Young son (in purple robe & turban) between 2 new “friends”. 2 “ladies of the night”, a bar man or inn keeper, a drunk asleep against the city wall & 2 soldiers in the background, on the cities’ battlements. The young son’s new “friends” desert him as soon as his supply of money runs out. The rich clothes, food, wine & the presence of the 2 “ladies of the night” are all ways I depict the young son’s wild living, mentioned in verse 13.
Notice the prescence of the blue bird.

RESEARCH/ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Notice the blue bird in every picture, ever present with the younger son, no matter what situation he is in. The bird represents God/Jesus who is with each of us where ever we go.
