Acts 3:7-8 (NLT)
7 Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and anklebones were healed and strengthened. 8 He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.

DRAWING NOTES:

TIME OF DAY:
Verse 1 tell us it was afternoon, just before three o’clock.

LIGHTING NOTES:
The sun from above right is shining brightly on this scene. I have also created a blue halo, to focus attention on the figures in the centre of the scene.

CHARACTERS PRESENT:
The apostle Simon/Peter (in pale outer robe) is holding the beggars hands (in pale pink robe) and helping him stand up, with the apostle John (son of Zebedee, in brown outer robe) standing on the step below.

RESEARCH/ADDITIONAL NOTES:
The three figures (The apostle Simon/Peter, the beggar and the apostle John (son of Zebedee)) at the centre of the scene are in full sunlight, surrounded by other men going up the steps, and into through the gold temple doors to attend the three o’clock service mentioned in verse 1.

The beggar has just stood up, with Simon/Peter’s help. Various men going into the temple are looking in amazement at the healing.
