Adding fun to Bible Cartoons website - band of characters in footer

Posted 01 May 2018

I’ve been thinking of ways to inject more fun, and “artiness” into the Bible Cartoons website. I’ve just finished adding a set of BC characters from the Old and New Testaments that appear in a strip down at the bottom of the page, just above the footer. The page code randomly selects 1 of 12 designs, and displays it on every page… so you never quite know what you’ll see as you navigate around the website!

This means that even on the pages that have no other images on them (such as the Search by Bible book page, or the Information page) now you’ll see an example of my drawing, which will hopefully “brighten up” the page!

Together with the little images that are dotted about the BC Blog pages, I hope this goes some way to adding more fun into the BC website.

Below are all 12 of the FootImage designs I have drawn so far. I thought I’d put them all here so you don’t have to spend hours leaping from page to page, trying to see them all on the BC website!

Viewers who know my work may see that I have grouped characters from the book of Genesis in the first image, then Exodus characters in image 2, etc. Image 7 is the transition from the Old Testament to the New… the calves leaping are from Malachi (the last book of the OT). Then images 8-12 are all from the New Testament, working through from Matthew’s gospel to Revelation (the last book of the Bible). This pattern is not exact – I have mixed up a few images so not all pictures are strictly in Bible book order – hey, I’m allowed, I’m an artist after all!
